Quick answer: The Celebrity Traitors series 2 began on Thursday 1 October 2026 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. It airs Thursday and Friday nights at 8pm across 10 episodes, with spin-off Uncloaked straight after (BBC News; BBC Media Centre).

The first Celebrity Traitors was the UK’s most-watched TV programme of 2025, seen by 15 million people, according to BBC News (BBC News). Series 2 is bigger, with 21 players, two more than last year, and one extra episode. Claudia Winkleman is back as host.

  • Regular slot: Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer (BBC Media Centre)
  • Episodes: 10, airing “every Thursday and Friday throughout October,” per BBC News (BBC News)

What are they playing for?

The celebrities are playing for a prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice. The final amount depends on how well the group does in the missions (BBC News).

The spin-offs: Uncloaked and Claudia Decides

  • The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked is hosted by Ed Gamble. It airs on BBC One straight after each episode and is also on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds, with murdered and banished players giving their reactions. Extra bonus episodes are on BBC Sounds (BBC Media Centre).
  • Traitor or Faithful? Claudia Decides shows how Winkleman chose her Traitors. It has been on BBC iPlayer since 9.15pm on 1 October (BBC Media Centre).

Who won the first series?

Comedian Alan Carr won the first Celebrity Traitors in 2025 as the last remaining Traitor. He took the full £87,500 prize for children’s cancer charity Neuroblastoma UK (Neuroblastoma UK; BBC).

How to watch outside the UK

BBC iPlayer is available in the UK only. We haven’t seen an announced US streaming home for series 2, and we’ll add one here if it’s confirmed. US fans can currently watch the civilian Traitors: New Blood on NBC and Peacock.

What’s next for The Traitors UK?

The BBC has signed a deal that keeps both shows on BBC One and iPlayer until at least 2030. The Traitors series 5 (civilian) is coming in 2027, and The Celebrity Traitors series 3 is also due in 2027 (BBC Media Centre). Everything else is in our Traitors hub.
